Good features. Worked better than others. Still a reliable app to confirm my aging, out-of-practice naked eye astronomy. Nice to confirm that, yes, that is indeed the planet I thought it was making its way through a constellation. Or find a few stars on a less than ideal night (but still beautiful). Matched my camera and location, calibrated compass. Wish it gave background stories - everyone should know the two horsemen and the why behind Antares, for ex., and when they'll next meet. Easily.

I almost never pay to upgrade apps. My young child wanted to see planets not shown on the free version. Plus, I have a severe lack of navigation, so the background of my surroundings really helps to eliminate questions. After a few prompts to upgrade for $2, I gave it a try. We're really enjoying it, and I was pleasantly surprised by the difference. This is one upgrade I haven't regretted.

great app for identifying things in the sky, unfortunately, it isn't calibrating well. Off by a bit at first and now, it's so bad I ended up having to download 2 other apps to compare. on July 6th at 545AM Venus was extremely bright in the sky, not only could the app not identify it, I had to turn my body with phone in hand about 45 degrees for it to spot "Venus" and there was nothing in the sky. It also no longer spots satellites or space junk in our orbit like it used to. =(

What’s new

Dear Stargazer,

This update brings enhanced compass accuracy with NOAA's high-resolution World Magnetic Model 2025 for significantly more accurate magnetic declination calculations worldwide. New compass correction feature lets you manually adjust for local magnetic interference in your area. Access via Scene Controls to fine-tune alignment and save custom settings.

Fixed rendering issues on some devices where stars and planets would not appear.

Best,
Terminal Eleven
