About this app

Tactical Compass is a precision navigation companion built for military
users, hikers, mariners and orienteers. One app: compass, coordinates,
map and field tools — engineered to keep working when everything else
stops.

KEY FEATURES

• MIL-PRECISION COMPASS
Live heading in NATO mils (6400), degrees, DMS, 6000/6300 mils or
gradians — with Grid, True and Magnetic north references and automatic
WMM declination. Lock any bearing and hold your course with on-course /
off-course alerts and optional haptic feedback. Instant back azimuth.

• MGRS, UTM & DATUMS DONE RIGHT
Your position in MGRS (2–10 digit), UTM, or any lat/lon format — on
WGS 84 by default, with proper geodetic transformations to NAD83, NAD27,
ED50, GDA2020, Tokyo Datum and ETRS89. Every coordinate is labelled
with its format and datum, and a non-WGS84 datum is flagged in amber.

• WAYPOINT NAVIGATION
Save your position or enter coordinates manually, then navigate with a
large direction arrow, live distance, bearing (primary + secondary
units), ETA and speed. Retrace your steps with one-tap back azimuth.
Import and export GPX and CSV.

• TACTICAL MAP
Standard, terrain, topographic and satellite layers from free keyless
sources — with a MGRS/UTM/lat-lon grid overlay, range & bearing
measurement, distance/area tool, track recording and downloadable
offline areas.

• SIGHTING MODE
Use the camera as a digital sight: aim the reticle, read the live
azimuth overlay, capture the reading and save it as an observation or
waypoint — with calibration level recorded for every capture.

• 7 FIELD TOOLS
Coordinate converter, angle converter, clinometer, flashlight with red
night-vision mode, sun & moon data, range & bearing, and line-of-sight
terrain analysis. All work with zero signal.

• BUILT FOR NIGHT OPS
Night Vision (NVG) green mode, Red Tactical mode, stealth-dim
brightness and high-contrast accessibility — layered over every screen.

• BLACKOUT MODE
Air-gapped operation: GPS and radios off, manual position entry,
compass and tools keep working from sensors alone.

• PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No ads. No analytics. No accounts. No cloud. Your navigation data is
encrypted at rest and never leaves the device. Emergency Clear erases
everything irreversibly in seconds.

Compass is not certified equipment and does not replace a lensatic
compass, paper map or formal training.
