The magic tower of the North, the source of the endless winter… Also known as the 『Tower of Winter』, it has finally fallen, thanks to the sacrifices of countless expedition members and the valiant efforts of an unknown hero.

However, what humanity faced was not a hopeful future. As the end of winter approached, the massive horde of the Undead—drawn to the barren lands of the North by the Tower—began to spread across the entire continent.

Loved the previous Tower of Winter, the art in this new iteration is definitely much more polished and the story more clearly defined. The map option is a great upgrade from the og, but having to randomly pull ALL the starting stuff (characters, companions, items, talents) from the same single pack is a bit annoying. Would be great to at least have multiple packs, and I had liked being able to just outright buy characters I wanted on sale in the og game

I'm enjoying it overall but my biggest complaint is that so far it seems like the only way to unlock other characters is through a loot box system? Not my favorite mechanic, but I could get over it if a clear or two at least gave you one or two characters. Or at least have the loot box system give you a random character after a certain amount of attempts. other than that I love the combat and stat system

this is fun and entertaining but I am frustrated with how slow "progress" is you basically get a big boost when you clear a mode and have a single daily clear to gain in game currency which is where the "leveling system" is in this. it is one of the worst grinds I have found in a game. when there is no reward for successfully completing a run it takes replay ability out of the game. if anything we should be getting greater rewards for multiple clears in a single day or 10% score based
