First time setup, new user... The UX is pretty bad. But it works great once you see it. I was met with a simplistic home page full of my devices, I couldn't figure out how to tunnel to my server. The app is very unintuitive. After I got my endpoint set I went and found the connection in the menu. The homepage does nothing but show devices and copy IP.. that's it. Literally just that. Suggestion: why wouldn't you make it say who my endpoint is and offer to connect to it? Basic UX. And no widget

The main purpose of Tailscale is to offer connectivity to your own devices, even through firewalls and NAT. The endpoint referred to is presumably an exit node https://tailscale.com/kb/1103/exit-nodes/, which is a useful feature but not the main focus of the app and UI.

I used manual Wireguard configuration for quite a while, but recently I've switched to Tailscale and it is so much easier that it's not even funny. I don't have to worry about NATs or adding peers or anything. It simplifies it to the point of absurdity without removing basically any power. One thing, though: Please add info to the sticky notification to tell me that my phone is connected to an exit node. That would be very useful.

Revolutionary. It's always been a hassle to set up a VPN. So many standards etc. This made it so simple it's laughable. You just installed on each of the devices you want in your own private Network, and you're done. Turn it on connect to any of the devices. After years of looking for a remote desktop app for Android, this allows me to use RDP, without worrying about other people getting in. And it's free for small networks/personal use. I love it!
