About this app

TalkWay is a simple group voice channel for up to five people. Create a room, share the short code, and talk to each other over the internet in real time. No radios, no range limits, just a clear voice channel for your group. One of you can be on iPhone and the others on Android, it all works together.

It is made for talking hands-free while you are on the move: on a bike, on a run, on the trail, in the car, on the slopes, or just staying in touch over a distance. Share the 6-character code so up to four others can join, five people in all, and everyone hears everyone.

HANDS-FREE ON THE MOVE
- Group voice for up to 5 people over the internet, iPhone and Android together.
- Hands-free: keep talking with the screen off and the app in the background.
- Optional music keeps playing from your own music app. Pick mix, duck, or voice-only.
- Works with a Bluetooth headset. Note that a classic Bluetooth headset switches to call audio while you talk, so music sounds lower. Open-ear and wired setups avoid this.

ANONYMOUS BY DESIGN
- No account and no sign in. You never give us a name or an email.
- No tracking, no analytics, no ads.
- Your voice is streamed live and is never recorded or stored.
- The only thing our server holds is a short-lived room code that disappears when you are done.

ONE PERMISSION
TalkWay asks for the microphone, and nothing else. No camera, no location, no contacts.
