dataDex is an unofficial, beautifully designed Pokédex app for everyone to use.
It contains detailed data on every single Pokémon, for every main series game ever released, including Legends: Z-A, Scarlet & Violet, Legends: Arceus, Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, Sword & Shield (+ Expansion Pass) and Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee!

Ratings and reviews

Hooray Champions support! I would give this app 5 stars but some of the data on the Pokemon is out-of-date, such as Empoleon's hidden ability being Defiant instead of Competitive. This app needs the ability to allow the user to set a 'default version' in options. Using the app was painful having to manually change my version every time I looked up another Pokemon because ZA doesn't have abilities. Lastly, more filtering options, like on Showdown Teambuilder, would make this app stellar!

The app is perfect for switching between many different PKMN games over and over. You can instantly switch the currently viewed game to another, changing the listed species to ones obtainable in that game, as well as movepools. For most games, you can see where a species can be found, as well as a list of all encounter locations and encounter rates. The pricing is great, too, a single 1 time purchase removes ads and enables the teambuilder, so you can keep track of a party you're training.

I've had this app for years now and I've always loved it! Got the pro upgrade when I first installed and have never regretted it, I use it all the time to play with different team combinations and to help me remember different type match ups, however it's MOST vital when I'm finishing up the pokedex in one of the games. I'm truly not sure I would've gotten all the way through finishing Pokémon Scarlet's pokedex without having this app to rely on to help me keep track of things!
