How it works

Incidents appear as pins on the LA County map. Tap any pin to view the full details: date, time, neighborhood, description, and original source link. New incidents go live automatically, no need to pull to refresh. The map updates in real time as new reports come in.

Curated content: no unverified reports

Every pin on Watcho is reviewed and posted by the Watcho editorial team. There is no user-generated content. No anonymous tips. No crowdsourced reports.What you see on the map has been verified before it goes live, so you can trust what you're reading.

One of the best community safety apps I've used! Watcho has become one of my favorite apps for staying informed about what's happening around me. The real-time map makes it incredibly easy to see public safety incidents across Los Angeles County and California without having to search through social media or multiple news websites. Everything is displayed clearly with pins on the map, so you can quickly understand what's happening in your area or anywhere else in the state.

What’s new

Optional daily alerts for newly added reports. Watcho does not store map location or use it to target alerts. Added a bilingual Daily Update with local Near You sorting, cleaner incident titles, and smoother map controls.
