I had mine bought specifically with animal hair in mind. It does ok at sweeping, it might as well be a door stop when it comes to carpet. I've tried anti-static spray, too. It seems to lose connection a lot, and I write this review after I told it to run, and it stopped mid-process, and didn't register that it made an attempt at all, so, much more difficult to find out the problem. For the price, and the hype of all the work it would save me, I don't have to sweep my hardfloors as much, I guess.

The app update that is supposed to be for Android phones just plain will not connect when trying to change your Wi-Fi password. I contacted iRobot support, NOT helpful. Even have a case open. I've owned mine for over a year and never had the problems that there are. I was told by support to "try another phone or tablet". that is not a solution using an Android phone operating on Android 15 (newest system). Get this app fixed or go back to the previous version that connects to the home Wi-Fi.

This app/product is horrible. It would be useful to have a job progress section where we can see what has been done and what still needs to be done. Also, if I ever have to pick the robot up and place it somewhere, like when it gets an error, it forgets the job it was set to do and starts discovering and cleaning. I swear, I will never buy another iRobot product ever again. I chose it because it looks best, and the quality seemed good, but as far as functionality goes, it's absolute garbage.
