I've been using the app on my Samsung Note 3 &5 for about 2 years or more. It's very convenient to post jobs and read replies in the go. Only thing I would improve is when one is picking a tasker, have subcategories so that we have a better idea what type of task we're choose it under. I mean, lots of things fall under home improvement.
Have used twice for lifting and driving. Worked great. Reliable. Polite. On time. No hassle. Pnly problem was I got cut out of a needed helper today while I was entering my credit card last night and it turned midnight and it was all gone and suddenly no one was available today. Five minutes earlier there were several availber taskers. It touts same day service. Not here.
When I rated a Tasker poorly he contacted me several times, which is against company policy. It wad creepy and uncomfortable. I rated him poorly because the work was terrible. And their satisfaction guarantee is false. They are currently ignoring my requests. No thanks to their solution of sending another inappropriate person to my home
I am a Tasker. I have been poorly reviewed by Task Rabbit customers on two occasions with the company response that my performance does not fit their parameters. It has cost me more out of pocket than I have made. I accept justified criticism but there is no recourse to dispute poor ratings in some customer's reviews.
Something that isn't very clear with the signup/registration process with becoming a Tasker is that the company limits how many Taskers they have active in a market based on demand. So, if you paid your twenty bucks and are still waiting to become active, that's why. I live in LA and have been waiting for 2 months for a 'spot.' If you live in a less populated area you might have better luck.
Pretty sure it's a scam. I paid my $20 for the background check and I know it's clean bc I'm in the military. It's been 2 weeks and I still have not heard back about becoming a tasker. I know it does not take that long to run a background check so I'm assuming I just wasted my money and my time. I'd beware of this company...
