App works moderately but there are some parts you won't know are editable until you start clicking everywhere. I gave it 3 stars mostly because the notifications do not go off until you close and reopen the app. I've tried to turn my phone off silent, set settings for the app to notify me over everything, etc. but it won't notify me as soon as temps (probes and thermometer)hit what I want. Check your meat often and close and reopen the app often.

I've had issues with the app since the get go. Paid $100 extra for Bluetooth control and it is unreliable. If I open the app to connect to the grill and then come back to it later it won't refresh. I have to close the app and reopen in order to get it to connect. That worked multiple times today until it didn't. Now, I open the app and it can't find the grill at all. When I try to connect to the wifi, no luck. So on Thanksgiving, no Bluetooth control. love the smoker but the tech sucks

Update: 11-25-25 . I smoked a turkey 3 days ago to make sure this smoker still worked because I haven't used it in a while. The app worked fine. I fired up the smoker today and guess what. I tried to use the app and my grill doesn't show up. Can't reconnect it either. It's 3 days later and Thanksgiving. And it doesn't work. It's been over a year since my last review and the app still doesn't work. Pretty convient. Thanks Zgrills
