About this app

KBLimit answers one everyday problem: "this form only accepts an image under X KB."

Pick a maximum in KB or MB, choose a photo, and KBLimit optimizes it locally to stay under that limit while preserving as much quality as it can. Your photos never leave the device. There is no account, no ads, no analytics and no cloud upload.

WHAT IT DOES
- Target a maximum file size with ready-made presets (for example 2 MB, 500 KB, 100 KB, 20 KB) or your own value.
- Bounded quality search for JPEG and WebP, with a controlled resize fallback when quality alone is not enough.
- Keeps PNG transparency.
- Save the result through the Android system file picker, or share it to another app.
- Compare the original and the result side by side before you keep it.

- 100% on-device processing. No photo is ever sent anywhere.
- The original file is never modified.

HONEST LIMITS
KBLimit aims to stay under the maximum you select for supported files. It does not promise an exact byte count, lossless quality, or success with every file. The free monthly counter is stored locally on your device; reinstalling the app or changing the system clock can reset it. This is a local-only app with no account, so that counter is an encouragement to fair use, not a security boundary.
