This app is almost exactly what I've been looking for. A simple, clean layout that creates a chronological timeline. Part of why I bounce off journaling apps is the pressure to write long, reflective essays. I prefer short updates throughout the day. The one thing that I really dislike is the unremovable "looking back" tag on entries that are a day or more in the past. I take notes in many ways & this tag discourages me from filling in a previous day. If this tag was optional I'd buy premium.

Thanks for the feedback! We agree journaling should be frictionless. We will consider making the "looking back" tag hideable in a future update.

This app is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a simple way to journal and do creative writing in one place with better organizational tools than a simple notes app could offer. I also wanted to be able to track moods and symptoms without all the statistics of a mood app, as those can create obsessiveness for me. All basic functionality is available up front. Paid add-ons are very low-cost and feel like a way to thank the devs for their hard work rather than being nickel and dimed.

So far, so good. I am enjoying Story Pad. Whether it is a quick note or a longer entry, all the tools are there to make the experience simple, relaxing and enjoyable. Once I have an entry, I just open the app and type. If I am not sure what to say, there are templates to guide me. For even further customizations you can change the fonts or add a wallpaper to make it more you. It is my second day and I am satisfied.
