About this game

One road leads to your castle. Everything that walks it wants the castle gone.

Castle of Ancients is a hand-crafted pixel-art tower defense game. Drag a guard
post from the side bar, drop it on the grass, and watch a stretch of open road
turn into a killing field. Kill for gold, spend the gold on more posts and
deeper upgrades, and hold the line to the last wave.

FOUR POSTS, FOUR ANSWERS
• Archer Tower — fast single-target fire, and the only cheap answer to fliers.
• Bolt Yard — explosive bolts that splash, half-blocked by armour, blind to
anything airborne.
• Barracks — does not shoot much. It sends warriors out to BLOCK the road and
hold the enemy still while your towers work.
• Monastery — magic that ignores armour completely and slows what it hits. The
answer to skeletons and the minotaur boss.

Every post has three levels, and every upgrade adds a body — one more archer on
the roof, one more warrior on the road. Sell any post back for 60% of what you
poured into it and rebuild somewhere better.

TWENTY-FOUR KINDS OF TROUBLE
Torch goblins march. Barrel goblins sprint. TNT goblins lob bombs at your
blockers from out of reach. Skeletons soak damage behind armour. Spiders refuse
to stop and fight. Bats fly straight over your blockers and cut the corners.
Imps slip past. Ogres and minotaurs simply walk through what killed everything
else. On coastal maps, sea monsters swim the waterways to shore and landing
rafts ferry infantry past your front line — sink a raft offshore and everyone
aboard goes down with it.

Armour subtracts straight from damage: arrows take it full in the face,
explosions get through half of it, magic ignores it. Nothing is ever fully
immune — even the weakest hit still carries 20% through.

TWELVE MAPS, TWO WAYS TO PLAY
• Story — five missions that unlock one after another, each teaching one idea:
a straight road, a road that doubles back, water that squeezes your building
space, two columns merging into one, and finally a 79-tile spiral with the
keep ringed in the middle and two bosses inside it.
• Campaign — seven larger maps, all unlocked from the start, from a windswept
S-bend to a three-gate river delta, a 98-tile spiral, a mountaintop keep with
one ramp, and a castle beset on four sides at once.

Campaign maps come with four dials you set before every run: gold, castle
health, enemy strength, and wave count — each with a setting that removes the
limit entirely. Play it tuned tight, or turn on infinite gold, an immortal
castle and endless waves and just see how far the road goes.

BUILT FOR TOUCH
Drag a card with one finger and drop it where you want it, or tap the card then
tap the tile. Pinch to zoom, one finger to pan the big maps. The touch layout is
not the desktop layout with bigger buttons — the cards are taller, the drag
threshold is wider, and the tower ghost lifts well clear of your fingertip,
because your hand covers exactly the tile you are aiming at.

NO STRINGS
Plays fully offline. No ads. No in-app purchases. No account. No timers, no
energy bars, nothing to wait for and nothing to buy. Pause any time, and the
game remembers the run you were in the middle of.

Six languages: English, Tiếng Việt, Español, Français, 中文, 日本語.
