About this game

Love crosswords? Try codewords — the addictive puzzle where every letter is hidden behind a number code. No clues, no hints, just pure logic and word knowledge.

Each letter A-Z is replaced by a number 1-26. The same number always represents the same letter. Crack the code to reveal the full grid of words.

Over 1000 professionally crafted puzzles across 10 packs — all unlocked, no ads.

HOW TO PLAY
Some starter letters are given to get you going. Look for patterns — common letters appear frequently, rare letters like Q and Z only once or twice. Double letters, word endings, and short words are all valuable clues.

Expert mode removes all starter letters for players who want the ultimate challenge.

FEATURES
★ Pinch-to-zoom grid — see the full puzzle or zoom in on a section
★ Landscape mode with alphabetical keyboard
★ Check your answers at any time
★ Reveal a letter or the whole puzzle if you're stuck
★ Backup and restore your progress across devices
★ Three keyboard colour themes
★ Expert mode — no starter letters for advanced players

THREE DIFFICULTY LEVELS
• Easy — common words, repeated throughout the pack, with helpful starter letters
• Medium — wider vocabulary, fewer repeated words, and some puzzles without all 26 letters
• Hard — uncommon words, names, abbreviations, multi-words, and fewer starter letters

Fun and challenging game. Some things to keep in mind though: 1) It uses both American and British spellings (liter, litre) 2) It uses proper nouns, names and places 3) It uses contractions (you've, can't) Keeping that in mind, it's challenging, fun, and a good way to pass some free time. One question for the developers: If I click on Check Grid before I enter anything (on a new puzzle) it says I have none right, and "Not a Sausage". Huh?

Great game! This is the 2nd time I've bought it. The first purchase was spread around all my other devices, 4 phones & 2 Fires, over the years. I've played through the whole thing a number of times, too. I like it so much I had no problem buying it again. They're a good team, I e-mailed them questioning the spelling of a word and they got back to me! Turns out it was a British spelling of the word. GREAT GAME

A great computer version of codewords. Easier to play than with pen and ink, but as fun and great brain training. I have a few teazel puzzles and generally like the way they play: you can check how you are going. Without paying for it. They seem to specialise in word games and do them well. It's a really good way to play codewords.
