These themed crosswords are a fabulous brain stretcher if you love solving challenging puzzles.
Choose to solve the crosswords in two modes:
- Quest mode, where each clue has been carefully crafted into a corresponding quest. There are over 80 quests to complete in each puzzle.
- Classic mode where you play like an ordinary crossword

The crosswords have been professionally set, and tailored to suit both US and non US markets - with any specific cultural differences noted. We only use the best crossword setters!

However if you're completely stumped on a clue, the game features several hints:

Ratings and reviews

Great, with caveats. Vocabulary is heavily UK centric. I'm an American, went as far as I could without hints, but many of the words I needed hints for I never would have known (e.g., sea cob) because they're simply not used in the US. That being said, I wish there was something like this based on a modern US vocabulary. I've occupied myself through several international flights with these.

Really good challenge. Would be 5 but the Cryptic hints are a stretch at best. I've started just revealing them because they generally make no sense. Other phrasing is odd but might be regional differences. Also found a word in another language without noting it was. I'm sticking with 4 stars because overall it's been good but it could be about 200 words less without the bad entries and be perfect.

Not good for the US market The UI is nice and works well. But the clues are really uk oriented and things don't mean the same in the US or the spelling will be different here that it gets annoying, especially in the second puzzle. The cryptic clue ones are even more annoying for this reason. I wouldn't mind seeing a US version of the crossword without the cryptic clues.
