Very disappointed. After playing 39 of the developer's other, obviously British-leaning, crossword puzzles, I was excited to read they had a US version. I can honestly say they put far less effort into it. "US" game does not tell how many words are in an answer, other version does. There are odd clues/answers. E.g., I have never seen "cafeteria food" defined as "glop;" there are a few questionable examples just in the first puzzle but not enough characters allowed by Google to list.

This is a really good crossword. It's pretty easy to figure out, the clues are culturally appropriate for standard American English, and you can get as little or as much help from the app as you want. There are no ads, no system of winning coins to buy from the play store, etc. Just plain simple game. I don't know yet if there are harder levels...probably, I just haven't researched it yet. I'd say it starts out at a medium level.

It's ok, but for someone younger these can be difficult. There are several terms that I've never heard in my life and after further research they are terms that were popular 30+ years ago. for example cafeteria food as glop, fit of anger as snit. Then there are clues that are just so broad like 'pile of rocks' and the answer is tor, I would not call a tor just a pile of rocks.
