The shaft is your way in. ARK is your way out.
Take a mining rig beneath an abandoned outpost. Cut a route through the crust, bring valuable minerals home, and turn each expedition into better equipment and permanent progress.
Explore five depth biomes, recover forgotten archives and face hostile machinery, gas pockets and seismic hazards. Manage fuel, hull, heat and cargo: getting home is part of the expedition.
Restore Ruststone Junction and open a real courier route to the surface. Secure the Geothermal Heart, recover the Flow Regulator and locate the Lost Array. Deliver those physical components, verify propulsion and navigation, and assemble the remaining systems for ARK departure.
Your shipyard, research and stored construction materials survive a lost rig. Recover what you can from your wreck, prepare another descent and keep building. Complete the departure ending, then return to your saved world as a pre-departure checkpoint.
