HOW TO USE IT?

1. Go to the app, picture, or document containing the text you want to copy.
2. Trigger TextLift via your quick shortcut.
3. Select the detected text blocks or draw a boundary over what you need.
4. Tap copy, and the text is instantly ready on your clipboard!

HOW TO SET IT UP?

1. Download and install TextLift.
2. Complete the brief first-run onboarding to review our explicit privacy disclosure.
3. Enable the TextLift Accessibility Service (Settings > Accessibility) to allow the app to securely detect on-screen text zones when prompted.
4. Important: set TextLift's battery usage to "No restrictions" and turn on Autostart. Many phones (especially Xiaomi, Samsung, Oppo and Vivo) shut the service down otherwise, and the shortcut stops working. Both this step and step 3 are required.
5. TextLift is fully configured! Use your chosen system shortcut to start capturing text cleanly and safely.

Picture guides for both settings are built into the app's Home screen, so you can always double-check them if capture ever stops working.

This app strictly utilizes the Accessibility Services API (BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE) to read visible text on your screen exclusively when you initiate a copy action. No data is stored, shared, or transmitted outside of your local device architecture.
