Instead of a feed of strangers who may never leave the house, The Market starts with three things that happen in the real world: nights out you can RSVP to, live matching when you are already out, and a private record of the people you almost met.
EVENTS COME FIRST
RSVP to a night at a partner venue, see who else is going before you decide, and check in with your QR ticket at the door. Once you are in the room, the people around you are the people you can talk to. No cold opener required — you were both already there.
LIVE MATCHING WHEN YOU ARE OUT
Turn yourself live for an hour, a couple of hours, or the rest of the evening. You will see other people nearby who are live right now, and they will see you. Your location shows as an approximate area — never an exact point, never an address — and it disappears when your session ends. Go invisible whenever you want.
MISSED CONNECTIONS
The person you noticed and did not talk to. If you both opted in, they land in a private history showing a broad place and an approximate time — never coordinates, never a trail. Optional background matching keeps it working when the app is closed.
THEN THE REST OF THE APP
Profiles worth reading, with written prompts, voice prompts, and this-or-that cards. Chat with voice notes, GIFs, reactions, and quick games. Feeds that learn what you actually respond to, for the times you want to browse rather than go out.
SAFETY
Verify to help people know you're really you — optional. Report and block from any profile, chat, or piece of content. Approximate location only, opt-in per session, deleted when the session ends. Background matching is off by default, with in-app consent before any OS prompt. Delete your account and your data from inside the app at any time. 18+ only.
Some profiles during early access are platform-generated and labeled "Generated" so you always know what you are looking at.
