Joined the AA only 48 hours ago and have already used the benefits section to get 20% off our food and drink bill at a lunchtime stop on our journey. The app allowed me to very easily locate participating establishments, get directions and provide the necessary information to our waiter to gain the discount. So far, I'm impressed. Just hope the breakdown process works as well too though I hope I will not have to use it.
I used the service on my app on my smart fone as I had a flat tyre. I would have used the Jack put it was on tarmac that wouldn't let me turn it to hoist the car up. They said on the app someone would be there within 20 mins but came in about 10 -15 mins put my spare on bloo it up for me and got me on my way with my granddaughter and great granddaughter. I would recommend to friends to use the AA any time . Thank you for helping me out as it was much appreciated.
The previous version of the app basically did the job well but probably did need a bit of a tweak to make some things easier to find. The revamp it got really wasn't it. It is harder to use with less functionality. The biggest irritation was it inviting me to renew my membership every time I changed screen. As the renewal happens automatically and has done for years this was pointless as well as annoying. I am now informed that my insurance and breakdown cover expire in March 2609. The latest update improves the use of the vehicle picture a smidgen but please stick to one aspect ratio or let me choose which bit of the photo to use. It also binned my details and has done so again since.
It was the first time i use AA and will be the last time , they say their service 24/7 but its not true. My car broke down and they said they will come in maximum 2 hours But they didnt come. i have tried to reach them for more than 2 hours from 11pm till 2am in the morning so i gave up and wait in the car till morning . They say sorry but do you think this is enough for that much disappointment ?
Been an AA member for over 10 years. Had a recent incident where I needed their skills and when I called, it was suggested I downloaded the app to improve the response time - it worked, and it was great to follow the progress of the recovery van in 'real time' on the map. Superb.
Decent app, nothing I can fault it with besides one thing, and it's a pretty irratating bug that should be easily fixable. Everytime I come out of the app or close the app and reopen it, it forgets that I've already logged in and makes me re-enter all the details it requires (name, number, membership number, email etc). Please fix this bug AA, when that's done it's easily a perfect 5 star app.
You can now request assistance in an accident and non-Members can request assistance on demand. Vehicle dates are populated If we know your car reg we’ll automatically populate your MOT & tax dates. And of course, we’ve fixed a few bugs.
