Can't skip enabling notifications. I don't want to have to go in and disable them, there is literally no valid reason to force notification permissions.

Really enjoying this app so far. Found a couple of groups related to photography and people there are actually quite friendly

In the app I can't see what I'm typing. Messages don't send. Messages are received later than they're sent. Notifications don't work. Not useful when you have to use this as a means of communication for a club. I contacted cliq and they told me to update my android system (currently 13) to one it can't update to (Android 14), nothing practical or possible was given as support.
