Retirement Countdown+ tells you exactly how long you have left — and unlike a plain countdown, it knows the difference between days and days at work.
HOW MANY WORKING DAYS UNTIL YOU RETIRE?
Most countdown apps subtract one date from another and stop there. This one works out how many working days you actually have left: your weekends come off, your public holidays come off, and so does every vacation day and PTO day you have already booked. What remains is the number of times you still have to show up.
It also totals the hours you have left at work, based on the length of your working day. That is usually the figure people end up quoting to each other.
BUILT FOR SHIFT WORKERS AND ROTATING SCHEDULES
Not everyone works Monday to Friday, and most countdown apps assume you do.
Set a repeating shift pattern of any length from 2 to 28 days, check off the days you are on, and tell the app which date the cycle starts from. A 9/80 schedule, four on four off, three on three off, rotating weeks — if it repeats, the workday count handles it.
Part-time weeks and compressed schedules work the same way. The app shows the pattern it has understood in plain English, so you can check it matches your real week before you trust the number.
HOLIDAYS AND PTO, PROPERLY COUNTED
Public holiday presets are included for the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and Europe. Add your own company shutdown days, and enter the vacation and PTO you have taken or planned. All of it comes off the workday count.
