About this app

DurianRipe is a lightweight utility that tells you whether a durian is ripe, unripe, or overripe—just by tapping it and recording the sound. Built around a cloud-based audio‐classification API, DurianRipe transforms your phone into a handy tool for farmers, vendors, and fruit enthusiasts.

- Tap to Record: Record a short tap on your durian to capture its characteristic acoustic signature.
- Upload Existing Audio: Prefer to use a pre‐recorded clip? Just upload a WAV or M4A file and let the app do the analysis.
- Real-Time Results: Automatically send your recording to our secure server, which returns one of three states—“Mature,” “Immature,” or “Too‐Mature”—along with a confidence score (percentage).
- Clear Confidence Score: See exactly how confident the model is in its classification (e.g., “Confidence: 87.3%”).
- Simple Interface: Intuitive design with large buttons, a durian icon, and a result card that clearly shows the outcome.
- Offline Recording: Record taps even when offline; the app will queue the file and upload as soon as you regain connectivity.
- Minimal Permissions: Only microphone and file‐access permissions are requested.

How It Works
- Record or Upload: Press the “Start Recording” button, tap your durian once or twice, and stop. Alternatively, choose an existing audio file.
- Send to Server: Tap “Send to Server.” The app fetches a temporary upload URL from our webhook endpoint, then posts your WAV file.
- View Result: Within seconds, you’ll see one of three states—Mature, Immature, or Too-Mature—plus a confidence percentage. This helps you decide when to harvest, stock, or sell.
