WORD TOOLS

• Word Finder — Enter your rack and get every playable word, grouped by length and scored for your game. Switch between Scrabble (TWL), Words With Friends and Crossplay scoring, use blanks and wildcards, and narrow results by starts-with, ends-with, contains and length.

• Word Check — Is it actually a word? See the definition, the point value, and which of six dictionaries accept it: Words With Friends, Scrabble US (TWL), Scrabble UK (SOWPODS), English International, Scrabble Global and Enable1.

• Scrabble — Solve from your rack, or take a screenshot of your game and let the app read the board. It finds the tiles, the bonus squares and your rack, then ranks the highest-scoring moves on the real board. Tap any move to see where it plays. Save boards and come back to them.

• Wordle Solver — Today's answer when you want it, or work it out yourself: enter your greens, yellows and grays and watch the list narrow. Sort by likelihood, limit to common words or real past answers, and get a suggested next guess that eliminates the most possibilities.

Ratings and reviews

The Word Finder is helpful when I'm playing solo against a bot with an unlimited vocabulary. Recent updates made it more responsive (yay!) Editing the list of letters could be better (when I fat finger an entry) and I must delete from the end to fix a letter in the middle. Thanks for providing a good tool. The ad ratio is acceptable too.

The world is full of words to which the app does not offer. The decision to only use one dictionary but then name the app "Word Finder," in mind boggling. Also, the most recent update is awful; the app is less useful, since the update. Too bad.

Love this app. When I can't figure a word out and start not playing so often I use this app to help me get over the hump. I must say I thought my vocabulary was up to par but it was not. It has improved a lot in the past 2 months. I enjoy my all my word games now. And I use this site to help me less now.
