How any software developer could possibly think that it's a good idea to log in ONLY using email, without even the OPTION of a password, is so far beyond me that I couldn't see it with any telescope. "Oh, instead of letting you enter two strings of characters, we'll just send you an email, tee hee! That way you have to open and log into ANOTHER thing and click a link that opens in your browser and not the app anyway lmao good luck figuring THAT out. Also you can't pick your own username 🤪"

All of the word games are very fun and a nice alternative to NYT Games now that they're starting to paywall more! However, I'm having an issue where the app is filling to the vertical edges of my screen and overlaps the notification bar up top and gesture bar below on my Pixel 7 Pro, which doesn't let me tap most of the navigation/menu buttons in the app besides a small portion on the bottom and top respectively. 9/12/25: Just updated my app and navigation is fixed! Here's your star back!

I'm not new to the Clevergoat as I know the website it comes from. The minigames are great; good alternative to NYTimes, to give a comparison. My rating is way lower than it should because of the technical issues of the app. On my Pixel 9a the top of the screen is inaccessible and I have to quit and enter the app if I'd like to choose a different game to play. I'd also love to see more fluidity in the app: short sliding or pop-up animations instead of things just appearing. Same with keyboard.
