Cornerclaim Tile Claim is a calm, offline territory game built around one elegant rule: every tile you place must touch one of your own tiles at a corner — and never along a full side. Claim more of the 14x14 board than your opponent, one carefully angled tile at a time.
THE CORE RULE
• Your very first tile must cover your own home corner of the board.
• Every tile after that must touch at least one of your own placed tiles diagonally, at a single corner point.
• Your own tiles can never share a full edge with each other — corner contact only.
• Sitting flush against the opponent's tiles, edge to edge, is completely fine. The no-edge-touch rule only ever protects your own colour.
• Rotate any tile in 90-degree turns and flip it before you commit — find the angle that fits the gap.
• Out of legal moves? Your turn is skipped automatically. Once neither side can move, whoever has fewer unplaced tile-squares left in hand wins.
Each side plays with the same curated hand of 12 tiles, sized from a single square up to five-square shapes, so every match stays a real strategic puzzle without ever turning into a data-entry chore.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• Play vs AI — face an opponent that greedily claims the largest tile it can legally place each turn, while trying to keep its own future corners open. Drag a selected tile onto the board and watch a live green-or-red preview follow your finger before you commit.
• Duo — two players, one device, pass-and-play. The board quietly flips 180 degrees on every turn so it always reads right-side-up for whoever's holding the phone.
• Stats — wins, losses, best streak, lifetime tiles claimed, and more, tracked automatically on your device.
• Learn — a plain-language rundown of every rule plus a "legal placement?" mini-puzzle series that tests your eye for corners versus edges.
• Awards — eight milestones to unlock, from your very first finished match to a full house where every one of your twelve tiles makes it onto the board.
WHY CORNERCLAIM
The corner-touch rule is simple to say and genuinely tricky to master — a few turns in, you'll be hunting for the one diagonal gap that keeps your whole formation growing instead of boxing itself in. The board is generous enough that a good plan almost always finds room, so a match rewards reading the corners ahead rather than rushing pieces down.
Completely offline. No ads, no accounts, no internet connection required, no in-app purchases, and no sound effects — just a quiet board, glowing tiles, and gentle haptic feedback on every placement, pass and finish. Portrait-only, built for a quick match or a long unhurried one.
Pick your angle, claim your corner, and don't stop until the board is settled.
