Chromecast device needs to be in the same local area network with the phone to allow casting.

I wanted to be able to cast my phone's camera to Chromcast without the camera's menu buttons appearing in the cast. This app provides that function. There is some expected latency. The image quality is acceptable. However, my biggest complaint is that I can't view what's being cast on the phone; my phone only displays a black screen while casting. This may be due to a setting on my phone, or maybe this issue is currently being worked on.

Does exactly what you want it to do - cast camera feed to Chromecast/GoogleTV without UI elements being in the way. Works in the background, too! The preview does seem temperamental though, but the cast output is solid!

Great app. Does exactly what I want it to do and gives me exactly the options I want. Used it as a sort of digital overhead for viewing old printed images, worked wonderfully.
