Your tinnitus has a frequency. Your music can do without it.

Tinnibuddy uses the scientifically studied principle of notched music: you determine the frequency of your tinnitus and then listen to real music with exactly that narrow band filtered out. The rest of the music stays as it is.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Find your frequency: Use the frequency finder to calmly determine the pitch closest to your tinnitus.
2. Pick a music source: SoundCloud, your own audio files, or your computer’s audio.
3. Listen filtered: The notch filter lowers exactly your frequency band – live on your device.
4. Compare A/B: Switch between the original and the filtered version with one tap – and hear the difference.
5. Build a routine: Regular listening is the core of the principle – with the music you listen to anyway.

YOUR MUSIC, THREE SOURCES
• SoundCloud: Search millions of tracks and play them straight through your personal filter – including favorites and playlists.
• Your own files: Import MP3, WAV or M4A on your phone, or send them from your computer to your phone via the Cloud Locker.
• Computer audio: The desktop app sends your computer’s sound to your phone, where it runs through your personal filter – no matter which app it comes from.

MORE THAN A FILTER
• Suitability check & timeline: See in advance how well a track fits the training – the timeline shows where it’s calm and suitable.
• Edge enhancement (optional): Lifts the flanks around your notch – a science-based add-on you can switch on or off.
• Daily listening time: Keep track of how much you’ve listened today and stay on your routine.

THE IDEA BEHIND IT
Tailor-Made Notched Music Training (TMNMT) was developed at the University of Münster and examined in several studies: music with the individual tinnitus frequency filtered out is intended to specifically relieve neural overactivity in exactly that band. The evidence is promising but not yet conclusive.
