Originally this error had a gamebreaking bug (when I switched from parent to child profile, I was unable to access the Show N Tell side). I emailed the developers and they fixed the bug and pushed an update the very same day. I've never had such success dealing with app developers for bug fixes. Yes the app is new, but the team behind it is super responsive and will fix the problems.

Notifications don't work. Not sure if this is an Android thing, but I didn't get them with the old app, either. With the old app, I would at least get announcements, I just wouldn't get pictures. I get no notifications at all with the new app. It is important to get early closing/opening updates, supply requests, etc.

Pretty rough overall, not really sure why this got pushed out in this state. The animation everytime you open the app is crazy long and then once you get in, things are kinda broken. The photo feed doesn't let you scroll so you can only see one page of pictures. Notifications don't seem to work at all so far. Animations are super inconsistent and low quality as well.
