Playapod 2 Features:

• Now Playing Media Bar
Quickly access whatever is currently playing by tapping on the media bar at the bottom of the screen. It’s always on with quick access to play/pause. Tap the bar to bring up the full media player view.

• News & Blogs
Add news and blog feeds which will be played using text-to-speech. Text based feeds get turned into podcasts with progress bar history, current position, and bookmarking. Very unique feature!

• Video Playback
Full-screen video playback is now supported! Tap on the video to toggle full-screen mode.

• Content Details
Scrolling list of media items displays the description in addition to name, flags, date, size, and duration. Length of description can be configured in settings globally or per subscription.

• Recommendations
Pick a subscription to get back personal recommendations of other shows that are similar.

• Custom Groups & Filters
Filter content by Subscription (Favorites, Category), Media Flags (New, Listened, Downloaded, Bookmarked, Favorited), Media Type (Audio, Video, Text), and Order (Ascending, Descending). Save filters into Groups for quicker access.

• External Media Files
Add media files such as audio, video, and text files for playback.

• Subscribe to Anything
Playapod adds more feed formats to include RSS 1.0 (RDF) / RSS 2.0 / Atom Feeds that contain audio, video, and text.

Good app but could be great. It has unintuitive menus. Makes no sense to have to scroll all the way back up to the most recent Episode instead of having a button to do so, nor that from a screen with the currently played episode goes back to the "Playlist" screen and only after that again to the "podcast" one. NOR that the "new" episodes start with the most recently played one, since that can be an episode from years ago. All these little things make it frustrating to have to deal with.

I'm kind of new to the podcast world. So I began searching for a platform where I can listen and came across Playapod. Never heard of it before, decided to try it out for a few days. PROS: NO ads! Cross platform synching, user friendly, create playlists & save fave episodes. Adding & unsubscribing is easy! I was able to search & find all my fave podcasts. For older episodes adjust the number (25, 50, 100, etc) in the settings menu. Love it ♥️

Nice podcast app with easy search features. Graphics and functions are well done. My big issue is when you sort the downloaded episodes it doesn't play them in the order you want??? Then it'll play an episode that I deleted by streaming it? When you delete an episode out should be marked listened and be removed immediately. Also if select auto delete after listening it says it will delete the file but never does. Sorting and deleting need to be tweeked
