About this game

Glowing balls bounce across real sheet music, and every time one lands on a note, you hear it.
Starlit Score is a music visualizer built on beautifully engraved classical scores. Follow the music with your eyes, tap along to play a part, or compose your own piece and watch it glow.

■ Listen
Pick a piece and watch. Each part has its own color, and its ball hops from note to note in time with the music. The camera slowly changes angles as the piece unfolds (or keep it fixed in Settings). Tilt and zoom the score with your fingers.

■ Play along
Choose one part and tap the moment its ball lands on each note while the app plays the rest. Get Perfect / Good / Miss judgments, combos, an S/A/B/C rank and your personal best. Slow the tempo down to practice reading the score.

■ Create
Compose on a simple grid: place notes for the melody, harmony and bass, and choose a major, minor, pentatonic or Ryukyu scale. Tap "Make the score" and the app engraves your piece into real sheet music on your device, then the glowing balls play it. Your pieces stay on your device, and you can share them as MIDI files.

Pachelbel's Canon; Schubert's Serenade, Erlkönig, Heidenröslein, The Trout, The Linden Tree and Ave Maria; Schumann's Dedication, Moonlit Night and In the Lovely Month of May; Brahms's Lullaby; Richard Strauss's Morgen!; string quartets by Haydn ("Emperor", "Lark", "Sunrise"), Mozart ("Hunt", "Dissonance"), Dvořák ("American"), Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Ravel and Debussy; Fauré's After a Dream; Minuet in G; Home! Sweet Home!; Auld Lang Syne; and more.
The scores come from public-domain and openly licensed editions (such as OpenScore's CC0 scores) and are performed with the app's piano sound. Sources are listed in the app.

Without Premium, Today's piece and 9 other pieces are always open. Locked pieces open for 24 hours after watching a short video ad.

• About the subscription
Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly). The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible users. Subscribing removes ads and opens every piece.
The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Google Play account.
