I've been using this app ever since it was called Whiz many eons ago, and it's been great. I love that it shows you nearby routes and bus stops (which is great if you are somewhere you are unfamiliar with), you can save favorite bus stops, and everything is live-tracked so you can see in real time where your bus is, or even if it's delayed or still set to be on time. Great app.

This app used to be so handy for public transportation. Then a couple months ago the map got way less responsive and the app freezes up after looking at the map for more than 30 seconds. Good thing that I recently got a motorcycle to travel around my city. Also, it sells your data and forces you to turn on location. Edit 2024: It seems like the bug has kinda been fixed? Definitely less prevalent than when I wrote the review, but not fully squashed.

it worked great for years but for the last few months it has not been accurate. ive been stuck waiting in the rain when the app says the bus is on time, when in reality it's 5-10 minutes delayed. a few routes have had the wrong times listed completely so no idea when those buses are actually scheduled to show up. I missed an appointment last week that cost me $100 because the bus I was waiting for completely disappeared from the route one stop before mine.
