I have many radio apps installed but this one is my favorite. It has no ads, it plays streams fast, and it shows complete info of what song or show is playing without truncation. It also shows info about the stream and bitrate. It uses very little system resources perfect for older devices. The only thing that could be better is the sleep timer it only has 3 choices 15 min, 30 min, or 1 hour.

Well, it definitely works, but it's very sensitive. For some reason if the station I'm tuning to is a raw MP3 stream and the URL does not end in .mp3, the app tries to pull metadata from random parts of the audio thinking it's live text from the station and it fills the entire screen with unicode gibberish. I don't know if this is an inherent limitation or something that can be fixed. Good attempt.

Since this 2022 review still shows up in some locales as top review in 2024 let me say the app has been updated since 2022 and is less trusting of the metadata that stream servers send and there are sanity checks to prevent the rare issue with the screens of gibberish for some streams.

let me warmly thank you for generously providing a non-crippled free app! It is just what I expected: no invading advertising and no incomplete, limited radio directory. The app works well on an android 5.0 device with 3GB Memory and good WiFi connection e.g. with some streams, but fails with other streams, working well on my Mac and gets some other streams only with interruptions and chirps. Possibly a bit more buffering could help? Anyway: keep the concept: no own -always incomplete- directory and let us feed the urls ourselves. 👍👍👍
