About this app

- BETA VERSION -

Welcome to the beta program for Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard - here you can test early performance updates, new unreleased features, customizations, and special themes. Thanks for helping us make Microsoft SwiftKey the best it can be!

The Microsoft SwiftKey beta app for Android will not replace the regular Microsoft SwiftKey app on your phone, but will be downloaded as a second app so you can switch between the two for comparison.

Beta Expectations

Features in the beta app are in active development and might not work perfectly or ever be released to the main Microsoft SwiftKey app.

How you can help make Microsoft SwiftKey better

As a beta tester, we rely on you to help us find bugs and give us feedback on new features. To give us feedback or report any bugs, head on over to our Support Forums https://support.swiftkey.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/115000099425-Android-Support-Forums - We have a group of moderators and SwiftKey staff members that are actively looking and responding to feedback.

I downloaded SwiftKey Beta in the hope that you are testing support for foldable phones, but no such luck. When will you add the ability for SwiftKey to detect that a phone is folded open and change from "Full" to "Thumb" mode. This is an extremely important feature and the reason that many people with foldable phones have had to switch the Gboard. Bring us back SwiftKey, bring us back, please!

Where are the new MATERIAL YOU themes? The Adaptive theme is the first addition in years but we need better. The entire UI needs a lot of modernization. Syncing with Microsoft Launcher and Link To Windows would be way better than the very-glitchy "Sync Clipboard" that was added last year. It is very difficult to get the sync working properly on Windows 11. I know SwiftKey and Gboard both can improve a lot --- look at Swype, Gboard, and SwiftKey in 2014 to see how much better all 3 were!

I've used the beta version for years. It's time to lose whatever is beta and go back to the drawing board. I've uninstalled and reinstalled apps to get to the bottom of it, but finally I uninstalled both the standard and beta versions hoping to fix the problem. It jumps from line to line, word to word, top to bottom when trying to make edits (especially in Facebook) to the point of aggravation. Nothing worked. At the moment, it's a nightmare.
