Trend Micro ScamCheck needs the following permissions to function fully:

• Access contacts: This allows the app to access and sync your contact list so you can select contacts from the app to send messages, make and receive calls, and for the app to identify spammers and scammers.

I am very familiar with Trend Micro working in cyber security. I have been having a lot of scam/spam calls over the last year. Verizon's call filter didn't seem to put a dent in the numbers and the same goes for other apps. Trend Micros ScamChecker app works perfectly. I have had ZERO spam/scam calls ring through. Absolutely couldn't be happy and well worth the subscription price.

Application very slow and lags Input. Installed this app to block unwanted spam texts. That is block texts not already in my contact list. Tried blocking sms messages via phone settings still no good. Called my mobile carrier and they suggested changing my phone number. Sigh... I'd be ok with a subscription fee if the app is responsive. I click on known senders and have to wait for the list to populate. Yes I have a new phone and a strong cell signal.

Of the apps I have tried, this one works better than most. There are a some items that are annoying. First, in trying to send a text it pauses for some reason. Which means anything I typed has to be re-entered and interrupts my train of thought. I don't find a way to customize the sound for notifications. It doesn't actually block texts, just throws them into a junk folder. Lastly, when I receive calls I get two pop-ups (this app and phone app). Very confusing.
