About this app

Pray before you scroll. Prayer Lock turns everyday screen time into meaningful moments with God.

Most of us reach for our phones without thinking. Prayer Lock gently pauses the apps that pull you away, like social media, videos and games, and gives you a quiet moment to breathe, read Scripture and pray before you continue. It is not a harsh app blocker. It is a Christian prayer app that helps you put God first and use your phone with intention.

HOW PRAYER LOCK WORKS
1. Choose the apps that distract you, such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, Reddit or games.
2. When you open one, Prayer Lock pauses before the app appears.
3. Take a breath, read a Bible verse and pray a short guided prayer.
4. Then decide what to do next: stay in the moment, or open your app for the time you choose.

A MOMENT OF STILLNESS
- Be still: a calm breathing pause to settle your mind before you pray
- Notice your heart: choose what you feel right now, like anxious, stressed, lonely, grateful, tempted or hopeful
- Notice your why: ask yourself why you opened the app, without judgment
- Scripture: a Bible verse chosen for what you are carrying today
- Guided prayer: a short prayer, one line at a time, that ends with Amen

PRAYERS FOR WHAT MATTERS TODAY
Browse the prayer book by topic: Peace & Anxiety, Faith, Purpose, Gratitude, Family, Relationships, Temptation, Loneliness, Healing and Confidence. Find a prayer for the moment, or write what is on your heart and let a guided prayer help you begin.

KEEP YOUR PRAYERS CLOSE
Save the prayers and Bible verses that speak to you and return to them anytime. Start your day with Today's Scripture on the home screen, and write a private reflection when a verse stays with you.

BUILD A DAILY PRAYER HABIT
Watch your prayer journey grow one day at a time. See your prayer streak, the days you showed up this week, your prayer history and milestones. And if you miss a day, simply begin again. A missed day does not erase the moments you have made.

A PRAYER RHYTHM THAT FITS YOUR LIFE
- Choose a prayer length: 30 seconds, 1 minute or 2 minutes
- Set when the pause is active: all day, morning, evening or a custom schedule with the days you choose
- Pick how long an app stays open after you pray: 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes
- Grace Skips for moments when you truly need quick access
- Morning and evening prayer reminders to help you make time for God every day

PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS
Your reflections are personal. Prayer Lock uses Android's Accessibility Service and Usage Access permission only to recognize when an app you selected is opened and to show the prayer pause over it. Prayer Lock does not use these permissions to read your messages or the content of other apps. Notifications are optional and used for your prayer reminders.

Put down the scroll. Pick up a prayer. Download Prayer Lock and make time for God, every day.
