About this app

TurnItOff helps parents manage screen time on a child's Android phone or tablet — without confiscating the device.

TurnItOff must be installed on the child’s Android device and on the parent’s Android device. Parents using iPhone or iPad can control the child’s device through the TurnItOff web dashboard.

Pause the screen in one tap from your phone, tablet, or browser. Set daily screen-time limits, bedtime and study schedules, and see how devices are being used. Your child keeps their phone; you stay in control.

HOW IT WORKS

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE AND CHILD DEVICE MONITORING
TurnItOff is a parental-control app. On a child’s Android device, it uses the AccessibilityService API, with the parent or guardian’s consent, to display and enforce screen locks, daily limits and schedules, prevent access to protected device settings, and help stop the child from disabling or uninstalling TurnItOff protection.

TurnItOff also reports screen-time usage and protection status to the linked parent dashboard. Monitoring is visible on the child’s device, and the Accessibility Service can be disabled in Android settings. It is not used for advertising or marketing.

DESIGNED FOR FAMILIES
• Child device must be Android
• Parents can use any modern browser (including iPhone/iPad) or the Android app
• Emergency calls can still get through when the screen is paused
• Clear in-app explanations before any sensitive permissions are enabled
