this app used to work decently well, and I could add and edit notes and scores. now whenever I try to open a score, it loads to exactly 42%, stops, and then tells me something went wrong. even if I make a score with the app, if I try to reopen it, it encounters the same error. please fix this, it's making the app completely unusable.

You can't make chords with different note lengths, most instruments are locked behind an overpriced paywall, and now transposing is also locked. The new UI is a downgrade: the delete button at the top is awkward, the settings pop-up gets in the way, and editing articulations/ornaments is tedious because you have to reopen the menu for every note. I'm a lot more used to the older versions, which were much better. The app has clearly gotten worse with recent updates. I can't recommend it anymore.

A wonderful composition app! It allows for smooth music writing, and provides a plethora of easy to use tools! I use the free version, and it is a tad annoying with my restricted instruments (absolutely no pitched percussion...), but it is absolutely still usable. The only real issue I have is with the balancing of some instruments, though this app is mainly for composing so it's not so much an issue. A very notable one is the marching bass drum. I had to layer 4 of them on fortissimo to hear.
