I really enjoy my Twinkly and I'm glad I purchased it. I do think the app is set up kind of wonky, and could be a lot more clear. I also get bored of the designs and think that twinkly would really take off it it had the options to input and share your own designs/animations. The current offerings aren't very good.

Latest update 04/10/2024 "Compiling effects for this device" I get this message with a spinning wheel everytime I click out of an effect. And it doesn't seem to end. I'm forced to close the app and restart it. There also needs to be a numeric input for the sliders that way users can have more precision when creating effects.

Works well enough, but the app is somewhat difficult to use. They're are good choices in the gallery, but there's no way to customize those without overriding the original. It would be helpful if there was a "copy" function. The 3D mapping instructions were initially confusing. They don't give you much instruction. Having said that after I figured it out (orange/red/green lights are clues of where to take more pics) the mapping worked pretty well.
