About this app

ViceGrips is a simple way to log and track bad habits and addictive vices. Become aware of your habits and recognize how frequent you do them, with the goal of realizing you should cut back, or want to try to cut back and quit.

FEATURES - ViceGrips features a live Progress Clock tracking every second since a vice has gotten a hold of you, a wide range of the most common vices most people have, milestones to help further reach your goals, vice tools to help get over an addictive urge, easy to read, in depth stats with logging history, app theming, and works offline to protect your privacy.

EASE OF USE - ViceGrips logging is very simple to use and do. If you slip up, simply tap "Log a Vice" and choose the category of your vice, i.e. Alcohol, Cannabis, Nicotine, and whether it's for a nicotine pouch or a cigarette, getting drunk or having a beer, etc. You're ready to start tracking your vices immediately following the app install with no account creation and "waiting" to connect to anything.

PROGRESS CLOCK - A constant, live timer that shows how long its been since you've last let a vice get a hold of you. Watch it clock up to your next goal.

STATISTICS - Detailed statistics include the total amount of vices logged, your longest streak achieved, how many milestones you've reached, and much more.

PRIVACY - Vices are stored locally on your device ONLY. There is no cloud server your data gets sent it to, and ViceGrips does NOT require an online connection to access. Deleting the app, or clearing the app data and cache will FULLY clear your entire vice history and any custom theme, milestone, and vice. This information is not accessible to any other party besides YOU.

MILESTONES - ViceGrips ships with a large set of standard, default milestones we think you'll want to reach. These can be deleted, and you can set your own custom goal in place. Your Progress Clock will display how much longer you have to go until you reach your next milestone - ranging from 24 hours to YEARS after to keep you in check.

VICE TOOLS - Simple, quick actions you can take to let an addictive urge pass. It's ultimately not worth letting a vice get a hold of you, and the tools will be there if you need it.

CUSTOMIZATION - ViceGrips lets you customize YOUR experience. With the ability to add other vices you may have, custom milestones, and a user-enabled custom theming experience, you'll be able to make ViceGrips suit you better for your journey.
