Stop guessing. Start scouting smarter with MycoMapper.
MycoMapper is an outdoor scouting tool for mushroom foragers who want to check recent conditions before heading into the woods. It combines weather data and ground-related signals into an intuitive map view, helping you compare areas, save useful locations, and use practical safety tools in the field.
Whether you want to check recent rainfall, compare nearby foraging areas, or keep a return point saved while outdoors, MycoMapper helps you plan with more context before you go.
Main features:
• Smart suitability map
View areas based on recent environmental indicators and mushroom-scouting conditions.
• Weather and soil-condition signals
Check map layers and condition data such as moisture, temperature, and soil-related signals.
• Saved locations
Save and revisit useful spots in your MycoMapper account.
• Return point navigation
Save your car, bus stop, meeting point, or starting location and use the app to help guide you back.
• Optional live location sharing
Share a private live link with family, friends, or trusted people while you are outdoors.
Built for field use:
Live location sharing is optional and starts only when you choose to turn it on. When active, MycoMapper shows a persistent Android notification. If signal is weak, location updates may be queued locally and uploaded when the connection returns.
Important safety notice:
MycoMapper is a scouting and safety assistance tool. It does not guarantee mushroom growth, mushroom identification, safe terrain, access rights, or safe foraging conditions. Always forage responsibly, respect local rules and land access, and never eat any wild mushroom unless you are completely certain of its identification.
