UnionUp is a private, secure platform for workers to raise workplace issues, collaborate with delegates and each other, and engage with their union.

Workplace problems are often sensitive. UnionUp gives workers a safe way to speak up, document concerns, and work together — without putting themselves at risk or relying on public social media.

Raise issues privately

Workers can raise issues or grievances directly with their delegate in a private, structured way. Whether it’s a safety concern, rostering issue, underpayment, or misconduct, UnionUp helps capture what happened, when it happened, and who was involved.

Collaborate on solutions

UnionUp is built for collaboration. Workers, delegates, and union officials can:

discuss issues securely
share relevant documents
create tasks for each other to action
collaborate on an issue until it is resolved

Alerts

UnionUp includes a quick alert function called Heads Up. Delegates, Safety Reps, and Organisers added by a union can send a Heads Up to their workgroup about important workplace developments in real time. It’s used to flag changes and risks that workers need to be aware of immediately, such as imminent safety risks. Workers can acknowledge they’ve seen the alert and discuss it directly within the Heads Up.

Groups

Workers can join union groups created by Delegates and Safety Reps at their workplace to discuss shared issues, coordinate activity, and build collective understanding of what’s happening on the ground.
