About this app

With Unity Remote 5, you can use an Android device to view and test your game live, right inside the Unity Editor 5.4 or later. Unity Remote 5 makes your Android device act as remote control. It streams touch, accelerometer, gyroscope, webcam and screen orientation change events back to Unity Editor. This is useful for rapid development when you don't want to compile and deploy your project to Android device for each change and prefer to use the Unity Editor Game window instead.
Extended product documentation is available on Unity Manual: https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/UnityRemote5.html

It works well but I wish that when I play test, it's actually the game playing on my phone and not a "stream" of it from the PC because there's a lot of delay, lag and the resolution is quite bad. I don't know if that's possible tho but the app works well

Works perfect for me. Read this before giving up. Some people have trouble because they aren't enabling "Developer Options" on their device. After enabling that, go into those settings and enable USB debugging. Then unplug and replug back in your device with unity open. Make sure Unity is set to "Android" in your build settings. If it's building for a Windows machine it's not going to have Android compatibility. If it's still not working, update unity.

I finally discovered the app didn't work because the phone developer mode was off. Samsung Note phone has a weird way of turning on the developer mode which I can't locate in the Setting menu. To turn on. Go to 》Setting》About Phone》Software Info. You'll see the Build Number field. Tap the field 7 times. You will see the Developer Mode enabled message at the bottom of the screen. Now go: 》Setting》Developer Options. Select and enable USB Debugging.
