Univer is dating for one community only: verified university students. No gmail addresses, no outsiders, no bots - everyone you meet has proven they belong on campus.
It also works differently: instead of an infinite deck, Univer runs on weekly algorithmic pairing, a two-match slow-dating mode, and peer vouches from real classmates.
WHY UNIVER IS DIFFERENT
- Verified students only. Sign in with your university email and we send a one-time code only to recognized student-mail domains. No student email? A real person reviews your enrollment document, then deletes it after review.

FEATURES
Weekly Cupid
A weekly ritual with its own tab. Five questions open on Sunday and lock on Wednesday; on Thursday evening our algorithm pairs the community - at most one new match per week, with a per-question look at why you fit. Answer at least three questions to take part, all five to be matched first. Some weeks there is no match, and that is okay.
Meaningful Mode
Turn it on in Settings when you want depth over volume. Meaningful Mode caps you at two active matches, hides you from everyone else's Discover, and pauses your swipe deck and Weekly Cupid until a conversation runs its course. Fewer matches, more presence.
Whispers
A consent-gated peer vouch. A verified student can leave a short note (up to 50 characters, signed or anonymous) on your profile - but nothing ever appears until you approve it. One tap removes a whisper you do not want and blocks whoever wrote it. Whispers are endorsements from your community, never ratings or scores.
Campus Crush
When someone really stands out, send a Campus Crush - a limited, unmistakable signal that you are genuinely interested.
It's A Date
Date invitations unlock only after a real back-and-forth conversation, not on the first message. From there, a simple two-sided planning flow helps you decide what to do, with built-in safety reminders along the way.
Discover
Meet fellow students one profile at a time. A calm rhythm of 15 likes a day keeps things intentional, and you can undo a swipe you didn't mean to make. You can also see who has already liked you.

Your matches and conversations live in one place, with reporting and blocking one tap away in every chat.

Safety is the product, not a setting.
- Every uploaded photo passes automated moderation; anything explicit is rejected.
- Weekly Cupid answers are screened against Hebrew and English word filters.
- Report from any profile or chat across eight categories; our team reviews reports and acts on them.
- Blocking is two-way and enforced everywhere you would be discovered.
- Whispers appear only with your approval.
- Delete your account permanently, anytime, right from Settings.
- Univer is strictly 18+. Names, emails, messages, birth dates, whispers, and verification documents are encrypted at rest, and we collect only what is needed to keep the community real.
