Music makes the ball field come to life but until now being the ballpark DJ wasn’t easy.
Walkout Song DJ is here to make it simple to have every field filled with that pump-up music every athlete loves and needs for those big games.
Walkout song DJ makes the difficult task of playing a walkout song for each individual batter as easy as tapping a button. Simply enter the player name and number then select a song from your music library or imported songs. The precise segment from that walkout song can then be set by selecting a position and playback duration using a simple and precise editing view. To assure that the songs are not blending into the background or splitting the ears of your fans, a volume level for each individual walkout song can also be set. Press the play button and 11 seconds later you have one pumped-up batter, and a song that smoothly fades as the batter steps up to the plate. You can also choose between imported, recorded, or computer text to speech announcements for your players either before or after their walkout song has played.
The game doesn’t stop between innings so why should the music? Walkout Song DJ has a view dedicated to inning break songs. Just as before, select a song from your music files and set a position and duration. Since inning breaks are usually two minutes long and most songs are over three minutes, Walkout Song DJ can automatically fade the song out before the start of play. That allows the human DJ to take a break or get a hot dog, and not have to worry about the music interrupting the game.
There is also one-touch access to a situational music view. These are the songs that add character to the game, such as your national anthem, Take Me Out to the Ball Game, Jeopardy Theme Song, sponsor mentions, your team fight song and anything else that fits!
For pre-game music, there is a pre-game view that allows you to select a group of songs and arrange them in a simple playlist to play without interruption and help the athletes get “in the zone” during warm ups.
If you happen to be a dedicated ballpark DJ and have multiple teams to DJ, don’t sweat it. Walk-Out Song DJ makes it possible to create and save song pages for multiple teams.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy the game while playing the all-important music by barely lifting a finger.

This app is amazing. Very easy to set up and use. The FAQs are phenomenal. No brainer if you want to have the ability to pre-record the player intro, mix in when the music starts and stops. Portion of the song as well the ability to tap an icon that fades the intro out in the event time is limited before pitcher and batter are set. Support for the product is via an email direct to developer.... can't beat that!

Greg, it was a pleasure answering your pre-purchase questions. They were great questions and the kind I would expect from someone taking a thoughtful and serious approach to managing the team music and announcements. I'm glad to hear the app satisfies the requirements you had and I appreciate the shout out here where future purchasers can see.

Awesome app. Only problem is that is still does "Fade Start" even when that's toggled off. After the announcement, the music should hard start on the in mark of the chorus where I selected, but it's fading in the chorus instead and doesn't sound good. The song file itself is fine and doesn't fade in at that part I selected, so I know the app is doing it even though "Fade Start" is toggled left, gray, for off. Can you fix this please? (EDIT: Sent email)

Can you export settings and email to walkoutsongdj@gmail.com so I can hear the behavior? I suspect you have at least a little overlap of the song and announcement which puts the song in the ducking zone where the music is half muted and faded back to avoid overwhelming the announcement. Try swapping the song announce order to verify.

Super easy app to navigate and figure out. It allows you to edit the lineup order easily (our tball team changes order every inning). The app provides an easy way to get songs linked up via YouTube and allows you to choose the starting point for each song and the duration. Google's reading of the names is a tad off but you can record your own intros to get pronunciation correct. Great app!

Thank you so much for taking the time to put together such a detailed review! It's great to hear that the time spent adding features is producing results for you. It should also help future users to see some of your challenges and how the app works through them.
