It's not just a game. It's art. The escheresque visuals are absolutely beautiful. The game is not hard, occasionally challenging but never frustratingly difficult. I find it pleasing to look at and very relaxing especially with the calming background music. The game play is a mix of Rubik's cube and Escher-like geometry. The actual story stays pleasently vague and mythical. The game is reasonably short with interesting variations. Not a waste of time but quite worth it.

Ah, how have I not written a review for this yet? We must fix that... Monument Valley is, now, a beautiful puzzle game that will delight you. When it was released, however, it was a transformative redefinition of what a mobile experience could be. This game was a massive turning point in the entire platform ecosystem, where ustwo looked at a sea of trash floating in bad UI, & rose the bar about 67 stories above, not just the competition, but the companies defining the platform. A true classic.

i don't even know where to start! the design, both visual and audible, is beautiful! the story is intriguing, the puzzles are brain bending, the colors are beautiful! the forgotten shores puzzles are so cool. totem's arc is amazing! i was so sad when he was lost and when i got the final puzzle, and saw him all together i was so happy! this game is amazing. especially if you like logic puzzles, geometry, and a dash of dystopia.
