About this app

Universal screen grabber and ambient light controller for Android devices. Works seamlessly with Android TV, set-top boxes, phones, and tablets to create an immersive Ambilight experience.
Key Features:
Screen Grabber: Captures screen content in real-time to sync LEDs with your video.
Hyperion Support: Fully compatible with Hyperion (NG) servers over the network.
USB Control: Direct support for Adalight LED controllers via USB connection.
Android TV Ready: Optimized interface for TVs and remote controls.
Low Latency: High-performance color processing for smooth lighting effects.
No Root Required: Works on standard Android firmware (Android 5.0+).
Important Note:
Due to Android system protections (DRM), screen capture may not work within certain streaming apps (like Netflix). This is a system limitation, not an app bug.
The app is completely free, open-source, and contains no ads.

Optional Accessibility Service Usage:
To ensure compatibility with devices where the standard MediaProjection API is unavailable or malfunctioning, this app offers an optional Screen Capture mode using the AccessibilityService API.

Purpose: This service is used exclusively to analyze screen colors for the Ambilight effect.

User Control: This is an optional feature and is disabled by default. It can be manually enabled in the app settings only if needed.

Privacy: We do not collect, store, or monitor any personal data, typed text, or user interactions. The API is used solely for real-time visual processing.

This app is a game-changer for DIY lighting! I've been using it with my setup and the DDP support for WLED is incredibly smooth with zero lag. The level of customization for LED mapping (per side) is way better than other apps I’ve tried. If you’re into custom ambient lights or Hyperion, this is a must-have. 5 stars for sure!"

been waiting for an app like this. the option to use via accessibility is nice but it makes colours a bit choppy. more work on that and an easier way to customise wleds would really be appreciated. will be following this app for sure!!!!!

Thank you for the excellent review. I will continue to strive to make the app even better! Please feel free to create an issue in the GitHub repository if you encounter any bugs, as this will make it easier to fix them.

What’s new

Fixed
• A missing server address no longer fails after all the permission dialogs — the app checks the connection settings first and offers a shortcut to Settings.
• Error texts name the exact setting and the default ports; stray spaces in the host field are trimmed.
• Adalight (USB): waits for the Ada handshake and sets DTR/RTS before sending frames, fixing startup flicker.

Added
• More USB bridges: CH343, CH9102, CH34x, native USB on ESP32-S2/S3/C3, Arduino, Teensy, STM32.
