This is the answer to my second monitor needs. I only have a laptop, so I snagged a 10" android tablet rather cheap, installed it on both ends and bingo!!! Second screen for my email or spreadsheets while I work on my main screen. Works OK on my smartphone too,but it's just quite small. There is a small lag, but it's not too bad. Added bonus,I can put the windows 10 display on projector only mode, and the built-in mouse functionality let's me control the computer from my tablet. Huzzah! Thank you for making this free app! Seriously!
Not too bad This is the only Android second monitor app I could get working with my computer, yet the latency annoys me, especially when I always have my device next to my computer, so it seems a waste not to support usb connection. If this could be implemented, then this would be a truely awesome app.
Worked right out of the box. Up and running in 2 min. It's a bit laggy, but not terrible. Great for expanding menu sets for Adobe apps to free up some laptop screen space. Win7 x64, and an old Galaxy Tab 2. Can't beat it, for free.
Finally a simple desktop to android solution that's actually a solution! Can't begin to describe the frustration I've experienced dealing with other so called solutions. This one appears to just work as advertised, right out of the box. The kiss approach at its finest. One click setup ftw!
I am very satisfied with this app. It worked without any problems on my OnePlus One with Marshmallow and my PC with Windows 10. The set up was really easy: Install App on the Smartphone, install the PC software, connect -- Windows recognizes a third screen. The image compression on the highest setting is that good, that even I -- who is very sensitive against compression artefacts -- can't see any. Even on critical images with fine lines and a high contrast, I can't see any of them. Minor problem is the noticeable lag while using the mouse. But for a Beta-Version I am very impressed and hope for further improvements. Conclusion. Very easy to set up, works fine -- what do I wan't more? I need to correct my review: I encounter an problem on my Windows PC associated with the Spacedesk driver. After every start up the windows explorer and all functions that are intertwined with it, like the taskbar, become unresponsive. Work around: Open the Task manager (STRG+ALT+DEL); advanced view; details; kill the explorer task; File: start new task and enter explorer -- now everything works fine again.
it takes some time to get it to work I had to reboot my PC uninstall and reinstall until it works took me about 15+ minutes for it to finely find the pc (normally i have to edit the IP address manuely) it would be nice for an option was added to allow keyboard input from a micro USB to USB adapter to be sent to the PC to be able to fully remote control it
- New touch screen feature.
Note: Windows Primary PC (server) must install driver v0.9.9z.9. Download here:
