About this game

One phone. Everyone in.

Huddle is two party games for one phone, passed around the table. No accounts, no sign-up, no second device, no Wi-Fi needed to play. Enter names once, hand the phone over, and go.

FORBIDDEN
Split into two teams. The describer holds the phone and sees a big word – and five banned words underneath it. Describe the word to your team without saying any of the five. Teammates shout guesses.
• Got it: +1 and a new card
• Skip: a new card, free or −1 (your call)
• Buzz: the other team slams it when a banned word slips out
A loud red countdown for the last ten seconds, then the phone goes to the other team. First to the target score wins.

IMPOSTOR
Everyone gets the same secret word. One of you gets a different one – close enough to bluff with, different enough to get caught. Take turns giving a one-word clue out loud, then vote on who doesn't belong. The table wins when the impostor is out. The impostor wins by surviving to the final two, or, if voted out, by guessing the real word. Add Mr White for a player who gets no word at all and has to fake it. 3 to 10 players, two impostors for big groups.

BUILT FOR THE TABLE, NOT THE COUCH
• Big type you can read from across the room
• Big buttons for people who are laughing and jabbing at the screen
• A clear "pass the phone" screen before every hand-over, so nobody sees a card early
• Haptic buzz and countdown beeps you can turn off
• Adjustable turn length, target score and skip penalty
• Names, settings and lifetime win tallies remembered on the phone

CARDS THAT WEREN'T WRITTEN BY HAND
Huddle's decks come from a map of word meanings. The five banned words on a card are the five words closest to it in meaning, and the impostor's word is a near neighbour of the real one. Hundreds of Forbidden cards, hundreds of Impostor pairs, and themed packs – Animals, Food & Drink, People, Nature, Things – you can unlock by watching one short ad, if you want them.

WHAT ABOUT ADS
A small banner on the menu screens only, never on a screen that's being held up or handed around. An occasional full-screen ad between whole games, never mid-round. Themed packs are optional and unlock once, forever.

Good for game nights, road trips, waiting rooms, and any group that's already arguing about something.
Two pass-the-phone party games. Describe the word, or catch the impostor.
