"Wirid Hirzul Jausyan literally means 'Guardian of the Fortress'. Meaningfully, this wirid is known as a protective wirid for those who practice it, protecting them from various evils. This wirid actually consists of two types, namely Hirzul Jausyan al-Kabir and Hirzul Jausyan as -Shagir. Of the two types, the one most commonly practiced by the public, especially among Islamic students, is Hirzul Jausyan al-Kabir.
Wirid Hirzul Jausyan al-Kabir consists of 1001 names of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. Each part of this wird is punctuated with the prayer 'Khallisna min an-nar ya Rabb' which means 'Save us from the fire of hell, O our Lord'."
